This prestigious recognition underscores the Solarator’s transformative impact on sustainable energy solutions for remote and off-grid applications.
Located on Stocking Island in the Exumas, the Coconut Club is a fully off-grid beach destination accessible only by boat or seaplane. To meet the resort’s energy demands without relying on expensive and hard-to-source diesel, ROXBOX deployed a fully integrated HELIOS Solarator™ Fold-Out 60+ kW renewable generator. This mobile, modular, and rapidly deployable system powers the entire property’s seven modular structures, including a full bar, kitchen, retail shop, and ADA-compliant restrooms — all while operating completely off the grid. Additionally, the HELIOS Solarator™ Walk-In Cooler provides cold storage for the club while reducing diesel reliance and carbon emissions.
One of the standout features of the Solarator® is its fold-out solar array, which is operational within 30 minutes by just one or two individuals and can be swiftly retracted during adverse weather conditions and redeployed once conditions improve. This design ensures the longevity of the system and uninterrupted power supply making it ideal for remote locations requiring reliable and secure energy sources.
The Solarator® is not only a testament to innovative engineering but also to environmental stewardship. By eliminating the need for diesel fuel, it significantly reduces carbon emissions and operational costs. Moreover, real-time data and performance tracking enable users to monitor CO₂ savings and system efficiency remotely, further enhancing its appeal for sustainable operations.
The award also highlights the seamless fusion of modular construction and renewable energy technology in a highly remote and challenging setting.
