Solarator Compact 25+ kVa delivering outstanding savings versus diesel genset

Case Studies

June 11, 2024

Overview:

Transport for NSW is investing millions into its Network Efficiency Program which includes the safety improvements done on the M1 Pacific Motorway Ourimbah interchange.

Key challenge:

Replace costly and noisy 30kVa diesel generator operating on site. Being a government project, value for money to Australian tax payers is an important consideration.

Solarator® solution:

The mobile, modular and rapidly deployable Solarator® Compact 25+ kVa has been instrumental in reducing emissions and fuel costs for Transport for NSW since its deployment in September 2023 at Ourimbah, New South Wales. To date, TfNSW will save $100,000 annually on fuel costs and reduce 135,000 kgs of carbon emissions annually. The project’s expected payback period using current configurations will be 1.6 years.

Project wins:

  • Compact, quiet and reliable operations
  • Performance data used for ESG compliance and strategic business decisions
  • Easily redeployed at multiple temporary project sites ensuring ROI
